When stiffness or discomfort interrupts your workday, sleep or favorite activities, an evaluation can help clarify the next step. We consider your history, movement and relevant examination findings before recommending care.
Headaches and Neck Discomfort
Headaches have different causes. If yours occur alongside neck stiffness or restricted movement, we can evaluate relevant musculoskeletal findings and explain whether chiropractic care or another evaluation may be appropriate.
Sports and Active Lifestyles
From youth sports to weekend golf, gym sessions and recreational leagues, activity places different demands on each person. We evaluate movement-related discomfort, stiffness and musculoskeletal concerns that interfere with participation. Recommendations reflect your sport, history, examination and goals; referral is recommended when another assessment is needed.
Pregnancy-Related Discomfort
As your body changes, familiar movements can feel different. Dr. Carissa Taylor offers pregnancy-conscious evaluations for back, hip and pelvic discomfort, with positioning and techniques adapted to your comfort and clinical needs.
Children and Families
Each family member deserves an individual evaluation. For children, we start with a parent’s observations and an age-appropriate examination. When an adjustment is appropriate, pressure and positioning are adapted to the child’s age, size and comfort.
Numbness and Tingling
Changes in sensation deserve an assessment rather than a guess. Tell us where symptoms occur, when they began and whether you have noticed weakness or other changes. We can explain whether a chiropractic evaluation or another type of care should come first.
Car Accidents
A sudden impact or whipping motion can strain the muscles, ligaments and joints of the neck. After appropriate medical evaluation, we assess neck and back complaints and explain whether chiropractic care fits your situation.
A Clearer Picture Before a Care Plan
Your initial evaluation includes a health history, consultation, postural and biomechanical assessment, and relevant examination and neurologic testing. Motion-series and/or postural X-rays are recommended when clinically necessary.
At a separate Report of Findings visit, we explain the results, discuss any recommended care and answer your questions. If care is appropriate and you agree to proceed, treatment can begin at that visit.
